About Mayfield Youth Development Center​
Mayfield Youth Development Center was founded and constructed in 1978 and has undergone several renovations since opening. The facility houses a maximum of 30 juveniles.

The juvenile facility manager for Mayfield Youth Development Center is Larry Jackson. They facility has a variety of programs that teach juveniles responsibility and the importance of community ties and support.

Sundays 1-5; occasionally Tuesday 4-8; virtual visitation by appointment.




Larry Jackson, Facility Manager

Larry Jackson has been with the Department of Juvenile Justice since 1994. He worked for 10 years at a day treatment facility in Murry that was under contract with the department as a mental health counselor and assistant director. He the transferred to Mayfield Youth Development Center as the assistant juvenile facility manager and served in that role for seven years before becoming the juvenile facility manager.

Jackson enjoys being a team player and working hand in hand with his community. He says he has an excellent staff that helps support him to be able to provide unparallel support for the juveniles at his facility.
